Individualized Education Plan (IEP)

The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), as well as other state and federal laws, in addition to state and federal regulations, and important cases, all impact how legally compliant and meaningful IEPs should be written. These laws and regulations change, or are interpreted, on a regular basis. The Charter SELPA keeps abreast of the most current developments and changes in this area, through attendance at legal trainings, and receiving regular legal updates regarding these issues. Charter SELPA staff provide frequent trainings and workshops to ensure that staff and parents are informed of the latest developments in the area of writing IEPs. In addition, the Charter SELPA is available for consultation and questions, from staff and parents.
