Low Incidence Disabilities

California provides funds to purchase specialized books, materials, and equipment as required under the individualized education program for each student with low incidence disabilities, including: Deaf-blindness, Deafness, Hearing Impairment, Orthopedic Impairment, and Visual Impairment.

The Low Incidence Equipment Review Committee is responsible for managing these funds and equipment.
